Most people who don’t achieve their goals, usually fall into one of these four categories:
- They don’t really want it. ‘It would be great if I get it, but also OK if I don’t’. Their goals are more like wishes and dreams, and often not specific enough with a deadline.
- They don’t believe it. ‘I don’t think it’s really possible.’ Every step they take is often to confirm their belief. Every failure reassures them.
- They don’t know how. They don’t have the knowledge or skills needed to achieve the goal. They don’t know where/how to learn.
- They are not willing to pay the price. Everything comes at a price. When we are interested, we do what’s convenient. When we are committed, we do whatever it takes!
Why haven’t you ever sold 1,000 units in a month? Why haven’t you built a team and become a Unit Manager or a District Manager yet? Why haven’t you won any of the top awards yet? Why haven’t you taken that family vacation, or bought that dream car, or built that house you always wanted? Chances are, it’s because of one of the four reasons.
